From Reuters.com Buffy The Vampire Slayer’24’ Cast Gets Three New MembersWednesday 30 July 2003, by Webmaster LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - DB Woodside, Agnes Bruckner and newcomer Zachary Quinto have joined the upcoming season of Fox’s real-time drama "24" as recurrings. On the Emmy-nominated series, Woodside will play the president’s new chief of staff. Bruckner’s character runs into trouble when her boyfriend gets involved in drug trafficking. Woodside was a recurring last season on the UPN series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." His credits also include the series "Murder One," miniseries "The Temptations" and the feature "Romeo Must Die." Bruckner co-starred in the feature "Murder by Numbers" and will next be seen in "Risk" and "Stateside." Shawn Christian has been tapped as the male lead in the CBS original movie "Undercover Christmas" opposite Jami Gertz and Tyne Daly. The project centers on an FBI agent (Christian) from a blueblood family who is assigned to protect a witness (Gertz) during the holiday season but is called home unexpectedly and has to take her with him. Christian’s credits include the NBC series "Crossing Jordan" and the WB Network’s "Charmed." Stephanie Niznik ("Epoch"), who was a recurring on "Everwood" in its first season, has been made a regular on the WB network series. Niznik plays Nina Feeney, the recently separated next-door neighbor of Dr. Andrew Brown (Treat Williams) and his two children, who has become a confidante to the Brown family. Matthew Settle is set to star opposite Ann-Margret in the Hallmark Channel’s TV movie "Til The River Runs Dry." He will play a self-absorbed charmer whose bounced checks and gaming habits cause him to move from town to town until he is taken in by a regal widow (Ann-Margret). Actor-singer Lil’ J has joined the cast of Disney Channel’s comedy "That’s So Raven," which centers on teenage girl Raven Baxter (Raven-Simone), who receives brief psychic visions of the near future. He will play Raven’s new classmate and boyfriend. Lil’ J has also been tapped to host Nickelodeon’s "Teen Nick in Concert" summer concert series. He will make his big-screen debut in "Nora’s Hair Salon" opposite Lil’ Kim. Jamie Elman (NBC’s "American Dreams") has been added to the cast of the ABC Family movie "See Jane Date," which co-stars Holly Marie Combs and Charisma Carpenter. Elman will next be seen in the feature "Shattered Glass." |
