"DATE MOVIE": This parody skewers wedding films like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "The Wedding Planner," "My Best Friend’s Wedding" and "Meet the Parents." It also touches on many TV shows with romantic themes, such as "The Bachelor." The cast includes Alyson Hannigan, Fred Willard, Eddie Griffin and Adam Campbell. Rated PG-13.

Lisa Rose of the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger says: This mock romantic comedy amounts to little more than a medley of old jokes poorly told. Alyson Hannigan stars as an accident-prone lonely heart who falls for a dashing, old fashioned lover boy. Their romance is sabotaged by meddling parents and a jealous ex-girlfriend, not to mention a necrophiliac feline and a gansta rap toddler. There are a couple of laughs scattered amid lots of cringes.

Special features: The DVD is available in the PG-13 theatrical version or an unrated edition. Extras include commentary with the cast and filmmakers and 12 deleted and extended scenes. DVD, $29.98. (20th Century Fox).
