Alyson Hannigan

The flute-playing chick from the AMERICAN PIE movies, aka Alyson Hannigan, has just finished shooting a film called DATE MOVIE, which is a "spoof" flick on all romantic comedies including BRIDGET JONES DIARY, MEET THE FOCKERS, WHEN HARRY MET SALLY..., MY BEST FRIEND’S WEDDING and plenty of others. Hannigan recently told EW: "I play the Julia Roberts/Reese Witherspoon Everywoman who’s searching for her one true love. But after she actually finds him, he disappears, so she has to go on ’Extreme Bachelor’, where if you’re not picked, you’re shot at." Well, I like the "shooting" idea, but f*ck that reality show shit. Anyway, the film is tentatively scheduled for a Valentine’s Day 2006 release and co-stars people like Eddie Griffin, Carmen Electra, Jennifer Coolidge, Fred Willard and that chick who pretended to be Britney Spears in SEED OF CHUCKY— and yeah, her character’s name is "Britney" in this movie as well. I’m taking a "wait and see" attitude on this one. I generally like "spoof" flicks, but I think they’re banging out too many useless ones of late.
