Mother of all Fun! Bah! Almost forgot to tell you about one of my favorite events of the week: happy hour with the stars of CBS How I Met Your Mother.

The bar at the Ritz Carlton Pasadena is, well, ritzy, which is one of the reasons it was so funny to see the cast of Mother get mobbed there by a stampede of eager reporters acting like groupies at a rock concert. Of course, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders and the Mother men handled it like the pros they are. But after being trampled by the masses trying to get to them, I decided my time might be better spent tricking cocreator Carter Bays into telling me if Marshall and Lily get back together: "We are not saying one way or the other yet, but Lily is going to come back, and she will be on the journey of finding herself.

Her dilemma is >I don’t know if I want to just be a wife before I know exactly who I am.< So, we are going to see her trying on all sorts of different identity hats." Meanwhile, Carter tells me, Ted will be walking on cloud nine, thrilled with having finally found the perfect girl, while Marshall is pretty much devastated. "What do you do when you are in this amazing new couple, and your best friend’s, like, suicidal?" Turn to Barney, of course. "We are going to see Barney put his arm around Marshall and say >Hey, Ted is dead to me. He is in a couple. He is effectively six feet underground. I am going to take you out now, so let’s suit up and have some fun.< "
