Lake, an out of work actor, is unable to prove himself as an actor. In a desperate move, he puts on prosthetics to disguise himself as an old man to get a lead role in a Broadway-bound play. Lake reluctantly registers into a rest home to do research for his character, but soon discovers that his conceptions of growing old are misguided. To both dramatic and comedic effect, he begins to find a new lease on life through the various relationships he forms. Shot in Champaign-Urbana and Monticello. Includes scenes shot in the historic Virginia Theatre.
