Ambers mom (Diane Benson) about the accident:

"Every one wants to know how she broke her foot - so I’ll tell you. We were having some yard work done. The guys were late going home so they left a lot of dirt (about 200 lbs) in our yard clipping container. We tried to move it to the front for the trash collection people. I couldn’t move it so Amber was trying - anyway the can fell on top of her and broke 3 bones in her right foot. They were displaced so she had to have surgery and they put pins in the bones to hold them straight and in place."
