Amber Benson Receives an Award Nomination

Sunday 18 April 2004, by Webmaster

The Horror Writers Association have nominated former Buffy star Amber Benson for a Bram Stoker Award.

The awards are presented annually for oustanding horror writing in a number of different categories, all of which cover the best horror literature and film. Benson, along with co-writer Christopher Golden, have been nominated in the Alternative Form category for their work on Ghosts Of Albion.

Launched last year on the BBC website, the internet based story centres around a brother and sister who inherit sorcerous powers following the death of their grandfather, a famed stage magician. The siblings become the mystical guardians of early 19th century England.

Chris Golden said, "Amber and I had such a blast writing it. Ghosts, demons, 19th century London... what more could any storyteller ask for."

Good for her! Amber Benson looks very happy and stunningly beautiful. Nice to see such a talented lady doing so well. ’Tara’ was always a favourite character of mine.
