Even sharing its timeslot with genre favorites like "Supernatural" and "Fringe," NBC’s "Grimm" has managed to carve out a solid niche for itself on Friday nights — and that fantasy-friendly reputation will certainly get a boost from scoring Amy Acker as a guest star this week.

Best known for her work as bookish beauty Fred on "Angel" and her multifaceted role on the short-lived "Dollhouse," Acker has some serious geek cred, so it’s nice to see her dipping a toe back into the genre pool as the titular Tarantella of the Feb. 10 episode of "Grimm." But beware, admiring gentlemen: Judging by our exclusive preview clip, she’s probably not the kind of date you want to take on a romantic midnight sailing trip.

Meanwhile, Nick’s growing recognition among the creature world is starting to threaten not only his safety but Juliette’s (Bitsie Tulloch) as well, and it may be time for him to take action to keep her safe.
