There wasn’t much movement at the ratings this weeks. Smallville (5,9 Mio./9%) and Angel (4,2 Mio./6%) were able to keep there performance of last week. The WB also keeps it’s placement on the 5th position in the challenge against the other networks. Looser of the evening was once again UPNs Jake 2.0 (2,4 Mio./3%). further informations: Yesterday’s Winners: My Wife and Kids (ABC), Smallville (WB), The Bachelor (ABC), Law & Order (NBC) Honorable Mention: The West Wing (NBC), King of Queens (CBS) Yesterday’s Losers: Jake 2.0 (UPN) Save a Seat for Estella, Trista and Ryan: Now that bachelor Bob has chosen dark haired beauty Estella (had he picked Kelly Jo their potential children would really have greasy hair!), the upcoming nuptials of Trista and Ryan will naturally feature the happy new couple. Wonder if Rick and Darva (remember them?) will be there? Ratings Breakdown: Although NBC remains the number one network in the Wednesday overnights thanks to its combination of Ed (#1t: above average 7.2/11), The West Wing (#1t: 11.0/16) and Law & Order (#1 for the night: 14.5/22), the two-hour season finale of The Bachelor (12.1/17 from 9-11 p.m.) will fuel ABC to a solid win among adults 18-49 once the nationals are released. As we waited endlessly to see Bob pick Estella (ain’t TV love grand?), The Bachelor picked up ratings steam in every half-hour (9 p.m. 10.5/15, 9:30 p.m. 11.6/16, 10 p.m. 12.6/18, 10:30 p.m. 13.8/21). Earlier in the evening, ABC?s My Wife and Kids opened on a winning note with an 8.2/12 followed by It?s All Relative at a typical (and third place) 6.6/10. Once the nationals are released, look for ABC to rank first among adults 18-49 in five of the six half-hours (excluding It?s All Relative, which lost to a repeat of Fox?s That?70s Show). On CBS, Wednesday’s standout remains King Of Queens (#3: 8.1/11 at 9 p.m.), which built by 12 percent from older skewing lead-in 60 Minutes II (#1: 7.2/11). The soon-to-depart Becker followed with a 7.1/10 at 9:30 p.m. (12 percent below King of Queens) while 10 p.m. special, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, capped off the evening with a respectable 7.1/11. On Fox, a double dose of That’70s Show (8 p.m. 6.4/10, 8:30 p.m. R 6.5/ 9) led into a typically potent 6.4/ 9 for The O.C. On the WB, Smallville remains a positive with a 5.9/ 9 at 8 p.m. (44 percent ahead of UPN’s Star Trek: Enterprise: 4.1/ 6) followed by Angel at a 4.2/ 6. Lowest rated of the evening remains UPN’s Jake 2.0 at a 2.4/ 3. |
