With how it was ended by WB would we ever be happy with the ending?
I havent watched This episode yet but will be watching it later. Im expecting to be disappointed and left wondering what has happened to certain areas of Angel as I felt that way wiht Buffy. Im hoping it wont be just a ’convenient’ ending.

It’s a great episode, and a fitting ending. Long live the Buffyverse!
And immense thanks to Buffy.nu for giving us access to these torrents. Without you, us folks in other countries would have to wait months and months to see the newest episodes! Thank you so much :)

I would also like to thank Buffy.nu for having these downloads avaliable. Even living in the US without access to the WB or UPN, I would have to wait until the DVDs were avaliable to see the episodes.
Cheers, Buffy.nu. It was a great run while it lasted.

It is really just a shame we wont get one more season to finish things off, and the tv movies probably wont happen so its the last of angel we’ll see.
However I have enjoyed watching angel for the last five years and its been the best show on tv :)
and thanks for getting the files up so fast!

OH MY GODDESS!!!
What A Killer ending!
Imagination a bound I love it.
I do not get the WB at all where I live so these downloads have been all I had to be able to see this great show. All I can say is It was a fantastic series, that went well before its time. I look forward to books and Possible TV movies. Hey it worked for Alien Nation. Just took a few years. but we got like 5 movies out of em in the end.
And with Ripper you never know, Angel Spike and Buffy may yet turn up again in yet another spin off.

Kudos to Joss and all the Angel cast and crew for a FANTASTIC series ending! Anyone who read Joss’s words regarding the ending will be undoubtedly reeling right about now as I am. What a way to go out. Wow. I doubt anything could or will ever top that.
As for using the spoilery system against us? Oh, I avoided them like the plague but for that one little article... nice touch! ;)
Again, kudos to everyone involved in this wonderful series.

Wow wee! A fantastic ending to a terrific show over the years. Thank you so much Buffy.nu for giving me the chance to watch this season of Angel and thanks to Japymonfils.
The open ending was great. It would have been to much to handle for me if it was made to look as though there were no more stories left in the Buffyverse.
Loved the references throughout. "You take the 30,00 on the left," and Spike’s effulgent poem. I really didn’t feel this season touched me emotionally but that Wesley Illyria scene certainly did. I’ve never much liked Connor but I really appreciated him coming to Angel’s aid and that he thanked Angel. I don’t care that it seemed silly Hamilton couldn’t just throw Angel off before the blood drinking.
The atmosphere was built up splendidly. I thought maybe it would become a bit too Buffylike and not keep in character with the show but the deaths of the bad guys were not on a grand scale and overblown like in Buffy. Although I love Buffy, I also like Angel’s different more real world feel which was maintained in this finale. Even Eve didn’t suck. Wow, Lorne!!! You’ve really shown all kinds of courage. What a wonderful bunch of characters and a great show over the years.
You rule Buffy.nu, Joss Whedon and co., fellow fans and all the actors.

I would also like to thank Buffy.nu for their immense devotion to the creativity of the Whedonverse, and their intent to help it grow and share amongst all people. I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy the DVDs or anything..Go for it. But it says something that, even those who don’t have a Television, or those who live so far away that they’d have to wait ENDLESSLY until it came around, have a sense of grace from this great website. Interesting to note is the Queen song, "The Show Must Go On" ... It’s a fitting song for this ending, and it was a good run while it lasted. And from what I heard Whedon was gonna do for his sixth season..?..Egads. I was infuriated. We gotta keep up the faith. Take care, folks ...
To The You,
Walker Pennington.

I havent been a huge fan of season 5, its all been about season 1 for me - but that episode was absolutely amazing - i read the spoilers and wasnt looking forward to it that much but that was really really really amazing. Screw the tv movies, we need a season 6.

Great ending. Great show. I’m reminded of Angel’s great epiphany in Season 2, "if there’s no great glorious end to all of this, if nothing that we do matters, then all that matters is what we do ’cause that’s all there is."
I’d be perfectly happy if they just left Angel’s story at that. I found it to be a perfectly fitting conclusion. Angel has found his way.

Big Big Thankyou to Buffy.nu for all the hard work, on bringing everything you need to and want to know about Angel. Just watched the final episode with quite a few tears in my eyes!! it absolutly left me wanting more. Sad to see the end, but a positive thing that it went out on a high note all Guns(or sythes) blazing. thanks for all the hard work. Jacquie Barraclough. Scotland

At first I wanted to see the battle at the end of the episode... but seeing it twice, I understood that this ending is even better...
I really love the part where Illyria stands in the rain... REALLY SEXY... If only Amy would make some pictures as Illyria... but what are the odds :P

OMG, I delayed watching this episode, because I didnt want to accept the end of Angel. Finally I watched it because I couldnt hold out anymore.
All I can say is NOOOOOOOOOO! The episode was superb had everything you expected form Joss Whedon. But the ending, Buffy’s ending left alot of unanswered questions but Angel’s ending was 10 times worse. I cant voice my dismay at it being such a cliffhangar and not knowing what will happen or even if we will ever see the outcome is traumatic.
We all watched Buffy and then Angel and these characters all took their rightful places in our hearts for differant reasons to not know what happens or whether they live or die is too much.
I didnt expect a happy ending, but I expected a conclusion of some sorts.
In response to this episode Joss Whedon you have to fight for angel these characters cannot be allowed to just fade away, I have never watched a programme before that brings so much depth to characters.
I am devastated at the ending:0(

I was so devestated to see the finale of Angel. I’ve been a BTVS fan from the beginning and have watched Angel since it’s inception! I cried over Wesley’s death as well as Lindsay’s (cuz he’s just so hot and great at being the bad guy!) but the ending blew! I wanted to see them battling the evil. But I guess that is the best way for them to end it just in case they get picked up by another station for a sixth season?! We can always hope!
-
21 May 2004 17:16, by Joey-Anya
This was a great episode. I never cried so much since Fred’s death and Cordelia’s. I can’t believe it’s really gone. After 8 years, 12 tv seasons and 256 episodes of the 2 best series on tv ever-it’s over. GOD I wish they would do a movie or Spike spin-off or something. I feel like there’s this deep hole left in me and Jordan Levin is the idiot who dug it out!

Absolutely fantastic. Thank you Joss for giving such a fantastic episode - almost on a par with Chosen, which I never thought could be beaten.
Thank you Buffy.nu - as a student living in the UK, I have no access to Sky and this site has been my Angel and Buffy lifeline.

You know what would be AMAZING! If they made an Angel movie that left off where the series ended, and all the slayers come, demons would could fight against the apocolypse, Wicca Willow, Gunn’s old gang and many warrior fighters that stepped in to help Angel, Spike, Illyria and Gunn fight. That would be so awesome.

Finally, Angel ends a session with a good finale! Top notch ending to a top notch session.
I’m sorry to see it end, but as they say in show business...always leave them wanting more.
-
22 May 2004 02:33, by Anonymous
*sigh* I can’t believe it’s finally over now.
When Buffy ended I wished I could’ve seen them settle down in their new homes and how they’re doing now that they don’t have to save the world by themselves anymore. But it still felt finished. They beat the bad guys and survived.
With Angel, we don’t know what happened to any of them. Except for Wesley, which stills makes me tear up a little just thinking about it. I wish the episode was just a bit longer so we could see how the fight went. But they went out fighting, knowing that they most likely won’t live to see tomorrow, and still fighting as hard as they can.
Plus, Illyria’s line was just perfect! "I’m grieving for him and I can’t seem to control it. I wish to do more violence" Best line ever, I tell you!
So thank you Joss.

So the Irish Vampire with a soul has seen his saga come to an end in a dark wet alley....I will miss this show so much, I watched Buffy from the first episode, and drifted away and back, but I found myself interested in this character, though also allowed myself to drift, however I’ve went back and collected and watched every episode, and now alas I have nothing.
I’m not sure how I feel about the ending yet. Did the fact that Angel would play a pivotal part in the Apocalyse, mean in actual fact that Angel would cause/bring about the Apocalypse by pissing the senior partners off?? Do they fight to their deaths, do they survive?? So many questions, such a good show and equally interesting character....alas Angel I salute you sir, and in true Irish style, I’ll have a drink for you!
And Thank You so much Buffy.nu and everyone that keeps this site as good is, for your downloads, and your news. Thank You!!!

I’ve been in denial and putting off watching this episode until tonight, and now I can’t stop crying....
I had to come here and read what other fans are writing, so I don’t feel quite so alone in my grief.....
I have loved these characters for years, and I will mourn their loss. But I like the somewhat open ending because I can make it my own... Lorne will come to terms with himself and be happy again, Gunn won’t die, Illyria will continue to grow, and Angel and Spike will go on fighting, because that’s what they do! And Wesley will find Fred in ’Heaven’... Man, I’m depressed.....

Over, Over, but it cant it’s too good to be over. Why i ask you why, Angel is the best thing ever to happen to T.V it’s even better than Buffy (and thats saying a lot). If there is going to be a T.V movie, Sixth season or Big Screen production it will be the best thing that could ever happen EVER! I mean come on everybody wants to know how they kill all of the deamons at the end of the last episode. It’ll be the best action scene ever to see Angel, Spike, Gunn and Illyria (who’s AMAZING by the way) kicking thousends of deamon’s asses. All we can do now is encourage HBO to pick up Angel for a sixth season or the WB to make a T.V movie of Angel. I mean who wouldn’t want to see that? Answer Nobody, Everyone will want to see it! Whats wrong with the WB not picking Angel up it’s ratings go up each week. Hopefully HBO will pick Angel up for anything even 1 last episode with a good send-off for all the characters. Please God Please let HBO pick Angel up PLEASE!!!
-
22 May 2004 20:51, by Jorge Rodriguez
I can’t believe it ended that way. It has to be picked up by another network it just has to!!!! I couldn’t stop crying either! But why did Lorne kill Lindsey, he’s been good hasn’t he?

Did the ending remind anyone else of the ending to Black Adder goes forth, only without the fade to white bit. Might but utter rubbish but could that be what ’Not fade away’ means. Unlike Black Adder which makes a point of the futility of the whole thing, Angel says that it is worth fighting?
Dunno maybe its just me.

The sad part is that there could be no other season, Angle, Gun, Iliria and Spike are all dead, i guess if things go this way the Senior Partners will find Laurn and kill him too, Conner could be next and so on and so fourth. This ending means the ending of all that Angle stood for from the beging, the fight again Wolfram and Heart, the last fight was faught and Angle, maybe not lonst, but defiently died. Thats the end of it...
Look at the bright side, Buffy won...

Shit, man... Fanfiction just got itself the best story EVER to work on.. My immediate thought when I saw it was: Buffy and the Slayers’ll be there.. I just know it.. Buffy with her fancy sigh... Or how ever that’s written..
It has to PICKED UP! For another season, or movies, or whatever.. Just as long as I get my weekly dose of the buffyverse, I’ll be okay.. And, by the way.. Isn’t season 7 for sale in the states...? I live in Norway, and most shops here got it in like a month or two ago...

How about continuing from a new prespective a different spin off, starting with people who have no powers witnessing this fight? If the show is on them and how they deal demons in society, daugthers beings slayers and things like Jasmine on tv. It would be cool to see universe from a silent perspective. This show war probably axed becuase as far as wb new the theme was the same as they obviously didnt watch the show. If they had instead of the revenue, they would realise that they were about to cash in big and that its really smallville’s writters that give you the same episode every week. Let me guess Clark is going to save someone, make either Lana or Chole cry, get affected by kyptonite and go home with 95% of everyone who finds out his ssecret dying or magically forgetting. Most people will realise this get bored and wb will come crawling back to where the dedicated fans are, you can bet they’ll put on some new crap first tho. I’m also sure that the big wigs werent really going for David’s... getting older since the beggining of buffy... yet protraying a ageless being. That might be the most they knew about it. Even so, I loved this should and the people at wb should be killed. What do you guys think? Lloyd a.k.a koxson@hotmail.com

Hey Everybody. I Just Downloaded the final episode (coz here in australia we wont get it for another 2 months) and i have to say that was one cool episode. Everyone is sayin there should be another season or a tele-movie but my opinion is just let it be. Why would you want a different ending than the one Joss has created. Ofcourse it leaves questions unanswered but thats Joss for ya. I dont believe they could end it better than how it did end The gang all giving up their lives, and not even to save the world but to give the next generation of "HERO’S" a better chance of defeating evil once and for all, Which sums up what I believe it was meant to sum up "They are all Hero’s" even though through this final season they were swinging from evil to good they will all go down in history as "HERO’S" even though we dont see them die we all know what is intended to happen "HERO’S WILL DIE IN A BLAZE OF GLORY" How else would you want it to end. "BEST SERIES FINALE EVER" thats just my opinion. There has to be people out there that agree with me also.
-

Man what’s with angel and alley’s. He was made a vampire in one his son was born in one and his biggest fight had to happen in one… Well all I can say is that at least they are consistent
-
7 June 2004 14:31, by Pece
If you pay enough attention to the final scene you will realise that it is the same ally as where the show first began.
GOODBYE BUFFYVERSE IT WAS FUN WHILE IT LASTED. BUT ALL GOOD THINGS HAVE TO COME TO AN END. even if it is in a way that most of us didnt want.
-
8 June 2004 16:38, by Anonymous
just a quick question about the ending, I know that Angel signed that contract to stop him becoming human, but shouldn’t that have gone to Spike then, or something similar, I mean I thought that was the purpose of the apocalypse - to turn Angel back into a human? Also, in episode 5x20 (The Girl In Question), who was the ’immortal’ guy that Buffy was supposed to be with; that made no sense at all?
P.S: Cheers Angel for 5 great seasons, movie please Joss Whedon.
-
I’m pretty sure it’s not the same alley it started in. That alley was behind a night club. This one is behing the Hyperion. Unless the club and hotel are next to each other.

There is ONLY ONE WAY to successfully lobby for a continuation - Series 6 ! Hit the producers in the pocket ! Veto anything/everything further produced by them en masse ! Once advertising revenues sink without trace, they would be more amenable to making a new series.
It HAS to be done this way !!!!
It HAS to be a concerted effort !
I vote VETO !

It is so sad to watch the characters you’ve grown to love simply just die in a blistering battle of demons. Well, atleast that’s what we’re mean to believe. The worst thing after watching it, was re-calling all the characters who died in Buffy and in Angel. Sadest goodbyes would have to go to Fred and Wesley. It was really upsetting in my opinion. To top it off, in the end of it all, I was left asking myself, What did the "hero" vampire the "heroin" slayer have to show for it. I believe us fans have a right to know what happened in that fight. Did they die? Did they live? Did helpers come?
Every good thing must come to an end, this I know, but atleast go out with a bang! COME ON JOSS! Finish it up properly. Give us an ending! Happy or Bad, good or sad, who cares. But don’t leave us hanging like this. It’s the worst thing not knowing what didn’t happen.
So come on Joss, give us ONE MORE season! Have our questions answered ( The Shanshu ) and give us an ending we can all be proud of, for being a loyal fan since Buffy came into SunnyDale High 8 years ago, to the time Angel took on the Senior Partners to this day. Who agrees with this?
-
24 June 2004 09:56, by WannaBeWatcher
I hate to break the wonderful illusion that is the buffyverse, but it is the same SET of the ally. True, in the buffyverse one ally was beside a club and the other behind the hotel, but same set use is hardly new here. Example: sharp-eyed fans will see that the main hall where Illyria opens the portal to her long destroyed palace is the same set as when Faith attacks Angel in season 1 AND where Fred and the others are attacked by giant bugs in season 3 (hint: look at the floor tiles)
And there are so many others too, you just gotta keep a sharp eye. On the other hand, it’s nice to let the illusion go unchallenged. To each his/her own.
P.S. Amy and Alexis rule!!!

I don’t know!!! Maybe this is not the end afteral! Becaus Sarah Michell Geller (buffy) said that there maybe come more episodes....
Don’t like the end though, I really want to see how it ends! And if you watch (not fade away) you see "season premier Thursday May 27!" What does that mean? That there’s gonne be more episodes??? Pleas tell me!
And wy the hell did lorne shoot lynsy?
Beceas Angel told him to?! It’s nothing for him to shoot somebody!
And wy didn’t they lett Hylyria die..but instaid Wesley!!
And in the episode were Spike and Angel took of to Rome, wy didn’t came buffy and Dawn appear in it! Yeah only her hair...
But I still want another season (or more) were there is a close ending, and the complete scooby gang also helps defeating evil! That will be so cool!!!! Maybe Anya, Wesley, Fred and tara come back to (as ghost ofcours). And also al the slayers the scooby gang gets from europe! That will be so cool then everybody is there for THE last fight! Just as season 4 episode 21 primeval. That fight was the biggest fight in buffy. And most of all the apocolyps...
I love to watch angel en buffy! And I watch every re-run...And Ofcousrs..I have a lot of poster dvd’s and video’s..
Well greets
and bye
Wesley <<p>

Discovered you somewhat by accident but was amazed to see the downloads...and extremely grateful. I will still be buying the DVD set when it comes out over here (Singapore), so I’ll make my little financial contribution to the folks who made this great show possible. And, in the meantime, thanks for giving me the chance to see it before it airs here - we’ve only just had season 4! That’s kinda cool to know I’ve seen the end before most everybody else here! Thank you!

I’ve also tried to download the episode in sections using the other links, but everytime I click on the link to download a part of the episode I get sent to the Buffy.nu home page. What’s going on?

Not Fade Away isthe last episode in the fifth season of Angel, but not the last fight in Angel’s saga.I know we’ll miss Angel so much. We’ll miss him more than our lovers and family, but we know for sure that we’ve learned something that gave us hope to keep living on.He gave us something that would help us everyday to go all the wat through madness and redeeming our lives. He gave us a light and a glimmer as Cordelia said.He gave us the only thing humans realy need. Why we should be HUMANS? that’s his message. So people,be humans for Angel’s sake, and untill we’ll see him in the Apocalypse let’s pray to see him again.

Not Fade away was a scene from the battle. We loved Angel so much we can’t give up looking for him in the allies or the empty streets.we’ve looked for him everywhere because we love him,he taught us the most important thing in our lives he made us see what we suppose to live with,he sent us to look after the glass of life,he tried to made us worthy,he showed us the important thing to live with...he showed us why we should be humans and how’s humans look like in reality he showed us the real humanity,so he’ll never fade away from our lives...hearts...eyes...
