Angel

"The Death and Life of Liam O’Leary" is an original Israeli musical based on the television shows "Angel" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", the creations of writer and director Joss Whedon. The musical is a unique project that includes original music and texts. The production brings together the talents of young professional actors and amateur actors from the sci-fi and fantasy community in Israel. All come together to celebrate the love for these shows, and the stage.

The Plot:

After Angel’s death, Buffy Summers arrives to L.A., determined to bring him back to life. Cordelia Chase, who comes back from the realm of the dead to stop her, takes Buffy on a journey to discover the truth about Angel - starting from his life as Liam O’Leary, a young lad from the town of Galway, Ireland, onto his becoming one of the most murderous vampires in history, and eventually to him getting his soul back and his dealing with the dark deeds he has done. Buffy will learn about Angel’s family, his first love, the extended vampire family that surrounded him - Darla, Drusilla and Spike - the choices he’s made and the many trials he had gone through. At the end of the journey, Buffy and Cordelia will have to face their own choices and decide Angel’s fate.

The Musical premieres at the annual sci-fi and fantasy convention "Olamot", and is supported by "The Sunnydale Embassy in Israel", a fan organization for Joss Whedon’s works.

"The Death and Life of Liam O’Leary" plays on 04/11/09 and 04/13/09, at 21:00.
