Cantstoptheserenity.com FireflyAnn Arbor "Serenity" Charity Screening Raises $1668.75 for Equality NowSunday 18 June 2006, by Webmaster Attendence: no advance ticket sales, line at the boxoffice an hour before showing time. 171 seats sold out of 200. $1668.75 in funds raised for Equality Now! That’s AFTER all expenses were taken out. So much more than we expected!! We were hoping for the best, but planning for the worst. We don’t even mind that that worst planning wasn’t really needed! As the theater filled, Rachel finally stopped worrying and had fun!!!!!!! It was awesome! Door prizes were a big hit. We sold all 32 t-shirts we bought. It was just an all around good time and it went GREAT! :-) And I FINALLY got to see Serenity on the big screen!!!!!! :-D We just got done decompressing. We’re glad it’s over, but I know I could watch Serenity again! We’re already thinking about 2007 (I know there are some of you who don’t want to hear that, but we are!) Pitfalls? I don’t know what to tell you. Roseivey, we gave away ’Fruity Oaty" bars as a door prize, and they were a big hit!! Thanks for creating those labels! The shirts were a HUUUUGE hit, Alex! |
