He talks about his support for Comic Relief, his other charity work and his favourite comedy programmes. Speaking on BBC Somerset Sound on the 10th Red Nose Day, Tony said that when he first read the script for Little Britain, he didn’t realise just how funny it was. It was only after his agent persuaded him to look at the script again that he realised that the show had great comic potential. Tony said Little Britain’s clever characterisations are an important reason why it has been so successful. He also chatted about his support for Comic Relief as well as the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust (GHDT). White armbands and rosettes The symbol of MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY, a campaign spawned from Comic Relief, is a white armband. You might have seen Dawn French and the cast wearing them in the New Year’s Day special of the Vicar of Dibley. Anthony Head Now, with MPH’s approval, the Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust are producing white rosettes. GHDT’s aim is to get every horse-rider in Britain wearing one at every equestrian event throughout 2005. You can listen to the full interview with Anthony Head by clicking on the listen to the right.
