The Petplan celebrity calendar is being officially launched at the weekend to raise money for Riding For The Disabled. Timsbury-based Mr Head, famous for his Gold Blend character and his role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was photographed by Lord Lichfield with his equine friend Otto, who once appeared in the vampire series with him. Mr Head is a keen supporter of the Bath Cats and Dogs Home, and his partner, Sarah Fisher, is an animal behaviour specialist. The calendar is being officially launched this weekend at the Blenheim Petplan International Horse Trials. Entitled Mane Men, the calendar features images of 12 horse-loving male celebrities including Mr Head, ex-Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley, and TV presenter Ben Fogle, who is best known for his appearance on Castaway. The calendar will be in the shops from Monday. Lord Lichfield said: "Being asked to contribute to such a worthy project is a great honour for me. The work carried out by the RDA is hugely important and benefits so many people in a number of different ways. I’ve had enormous fun and wish it every success."
