Best bets tonight (seth green & david krumholtz mention)

Friday 21 April 2006, by Webmaster

Celebrity Cooking Showdown: 8 p.m., CH, NBC. Tonight, we learn which of yesterday’s finalists has won. Naturally, the show will try to fill up the time before the announcement. Host Alan Thicke will show clips and backstage scenes. He’ll also have a contest among the show’s expert chefs, Wolfgang Puck, Cat Cora and Govind Armstrong.

Other choices

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997): 8 p.m., Fox. This comedy gets shown a lot and it’s still worth catching. Mike Myers thought of the fun idea of a swinging 1960s spy unfrozen in modern times. He plays both the hero and the villainous Dr. Evil. And these are fun roles for Elizabeth Hurley, Seth Green and Carrie Fisher, who also star.

Ghost Whisperer: 8 p.m., CTV, CBS. In this rerun, Melinda recognizes the shy girl ghost trying to contact her. It’s a former Grade 4 classmate whom she couldn’t help at the time of her death. Now she has another chance.

Close to Home: 9 p.m., CTV, CBS. A killer insists he can supply the name of the drug boss who hired him — if he gets a lighter sentence. Annabeth resists, scrambling for an alternative way to get the information.

Numb3rs: 10 p.m., CBS. Don’s former girlfriend, a federal agent, has apparently committed suicide. He’s not so sure. In her home life, there are reasons she might have committed suicide, but at work, there are reasons she might have been murdered. With David Krumholtz
