"Buffy" took in a 3.4 rating/5 share, while "Gilmore Girls" grabbed a 2.7/4. "American Idol," with an 11.5/18, led the hour for Fox. "Smallville" finished strong as well, finishing about the same level as "Buffy," despite being in rerun status. It earned a 3.5/5, beating out comedies on UPN. CBS was first for the 9 p.m. ET hour with "Celine in Las Vegas ... Opening Night." That program earned a 9.1/14. UPN finished last for the evening, earning only a 2.5/4, while The WB picked up a 3.0/4. Fox won the night with a 9.3/14. |
