THAT is, the further adventures of the Slayer will only be in print form ... comic-book form, to be precise.

TV Guide says series creator Joss Whedon is picking up where the TV show left off in a new comic series to be published by Dark Horse next year.

Whedon will be writing the first four and last four issues, and bringing in writers from the show as well as popular comic-book scribes to work on the others.

He told the magazine that the stories would most probably be part of the show’s canon, and would deal with plot points and themes that they never got around to addressing during the series’ seven-year run.
