Buffy The Vampire Slayer / Angel - Buffy Summers and Spike

I chose two representatives from Buffy/Angel.

Buffy is obviously a gimme. One of the strongest female characters on TV ever - she managed to make slaying vampires and other forces of darkness seem easy (and plausible) in comparison to navigating the travails of high school, college and beyond. Buffy was always the antithesis of the female victim - she was an apocalypse-stopping female heroine, and she was awesome as hell.

I also wanted to single out Spike as he was an unlikely favorite that arose out of the Buffy/Angel-verse. Initially a villain and nemesis of Buffy’s, Spike eventually reformed and unexpectedly evolved into a convincing love interest for Buffy, oddly understanding aspects of Buffy’s pain that nobody else could. Never did I think that I’d find that bleached-blond hair and scar attractive, but Spike won me over, and I know I’m not alone here!
