Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Season 2 & 5 - The young Buffy hair color mistake

Sunday 16 July 2006, by Webmaster

We discover in Killed By Death (season 2) that Buffy is not a natural blonde, the young Buffy is brunette.

The girl who represents her as a child is a brunette, but in future episodes, such as The Weight of the World (season 5), show young Buffy as a blonde.

  • It’s not necessarily a continuity gaffe, as hair colour often changes as we get older. Speaking for myself, I had very light blonde hair as a young child, which unfortunately turned a very dark, mousy blonde by the time I was 6 years old. It’s genetic & happens to lots of people.
  • The young Buffy shown in Season 5 was way younger than the young Buffy shown in Season 2. It is possible for haircolor to change in children. Personally, I was blonde until second grade...around age 7...and my hair darkened to brown over the next couple of years...
  • this means nothing even though i knew that they have 2 young buffys with different collour hair... but my point.. i was born with pitch black and from about 1 untilll 10 i had really blond hair golden and now i have brunette... and its all natural. so yeah hair collour changes naturally
