Fan favorite Alyson Hannigan, who played the magical Willow on the popular series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has entered a time warp. The actress has signed on to guest star in at least two episodes of Fox’s That ’70s Show during the upcoming season. On the show, Kelso, played by Ashton Kutcher, recently enrolled in the police academy. Hannigan will play a new recruit at the academy and possibly cozy up to the lovable but dimwitted Kelso.

Hannigan, repped by Innovative, most recently appeared in Universal’s third installment of the American Pie franchise, American Wedding. In addition to being seen in the first two Pie movies, Hannigan has also been seen in the features My Stepmother Is an Alien, Boys and Girls and Dead Man on Campus.

The ’70s deal marks Hannigan’s first major television commitment since Buffy left the air last spring. Her role on the series won her a Teen Choice Award, as well as TV Guide Award and Golden Satellite Award nominations
