Small-town girl Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is a high school kid by day, ’’vampire slayer’’ by night, working with the ’’Scooby Gang’’ - Willow (Alyson Hannigan), Xander (Nicholas Brendon), Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) - and others including Angel (David Boreanaz), Buffy’s soul-cursed vampire boyfriend, to rid the town of an overabundance of demons, vampires and other unnatural types. Created by Joss Whedon, its legacy endures, influencing such shows as Dead Like Me, Torchwood, Tru Calling, Smallville, Lost, True Blood and Once Upon a Time.
