LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Fast National ratings for Sunday, July 11, 2004. Focusing on the new Democratic presidential ticket, CBS’ "60 Minutes" drew strong ratings on Sunday night to help carry the network to an easy overall win. CBS did a 6.7 rating/12 share for the night, comfortably beating second place NBC’s 4.9/9 and third place ABC’s 3.3/6. FOX was fourth with a 2.7/5, still ahead of The WB’s 1.1/2. Among adults 18-49, though, NBC came out on top with a 2.5 rating. CBS was second in the coveted demographic with a 2.2, followed closely by FOX’s 2.1 rating and the 2.0 rating for ABC. The WB trailed with a 0.8 rating. At 7 p.m., "60 Minutes" pulled in a solid 7.8/17, the night’s highest rated program. NBC was second with Olympic trails coverage, which did a 3.8/8, just better than the numbers for ABC’s "America’s Funniest Home Videos." Fourth place went to FOX with "King of the Hill" and "Malcolm in the Middle," leaving The WB a distant fifth with the 1.0/2 for "Steve Harvey’s Big Time." CBS held onto first at 8 p.m. with the 7.2/13 for "Cold Case." NBC’s track and field telecast improved slightly in its second hour and held onto second. ABC was third with the 3.4/7 for "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" topping FOX’s "The Simpsons" and "Arrested Development," which averaged a 2.9/6 between them. The WB was in last with "Charmed." There was a tie at 9 p.m. as NBC got a 5.8/10 from "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," identical to the totals for CBS’ "Catch a Rising Star." FOX’s "Simple Life 2" (3.1/5) and "Quintuplets" (2.6/4) encores performed better than the first hour of "The Great Domestic Showdown" on ABC. On The WB, "Charmed" had a 1.3/2. CBS closed the night back on top with the 6.0/10 for "Catch a Rising Star." NBC was a close second with the 5.6/10 for "Las Vegas." The conclusion of ABC’s "Domestic Showdown" had a 3.2/6. |
