From Moviehole.net Chucky, the musical ? (buffy mention)Sunday 14 November 2004, by Webmaster We’re pretty confident that Don Mancini is already seeing dollar signs. By Mid-next week, his pillows will no doubt be stuffed with Benjimans. Focus Features, distributor of "Seed of Chucky", Mancini’s pic, are hopeful that the fifth "Child’s Play" flick will be the most profitable of the lot. "We’re optimistic Seed of Chucky has the potential to be the most successful" of the franchise, Focus marketing chief David Brooks told USA Today. And seems Mancini has had a new idea for the probable 6th deadly-dolly adventure - Chucky does Tango. "I wouldn’t mind seeing a Chucky musical." Could work I suppose. The musical ep of "Buffy" was the highlight of that lacklustre season, and way back when straight-laced Kelley drama "Chicago Hope" even did a ripper musical ep. Chucky, dressed in leather, bopping to a bit of Billy Idol? Yeah, that’d be worth $15 bucks to see. Reviewers are a bit sceptical stateside because of the no-media screenings announcement, but who ain’t going to wanna see a scene like this... Jennifer Tilly tells Maxim mag that Chucky even gets out Mrs Palmer and her five daughters in one scene, "Tiffany hands Chucky a cup and a copy of FANGORIA, and says, ’Go at it!’ I mean, there’s actually a scene of Chucky jerking off ! And then they artificially inseminate me with a turkey baster. I was lying on my back all day while we filmed that, going, ’My life sucks!’" Pee Wee just pre-booked some tix. 2 Forum messages |
