Dad of seven Clint Eastwood made the premiere of his World War II drama Flags Of Our Fathers a family affair on Monday as he was supported by wife Dina and kids Alison and Kyle, from his first marriage to Maggie Johnson.

Actress Alison, 34, and her 38-year-old brother, a composer who worked on musical arrangements for the wartime flick, joined cast members including Brit talent Jamie Bell and producer Steven Spielberg at the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Science. And they must have felt immensely proud of their 74-year-old father, whose movie has already been tipped for Oscar success.

While the screening of Clint’s movie took place in traditional surroundings, Sarah Michelle Gellar had an altogether more ghoulish experience as she attended the opening night of her supernatural thriller The Grudge 2 at Knott’s Scary Farm, a spooky theme park in California.

Fortunately husband Freddie Prinze Jr was on hand to keep a protective arm around his wife of four years, who was stunning in a multi-coloured gown.

Another leading lady turning up the glamour Stateside was Sandra Bullock. The Lake House actress joined Sigourney Weaver and Naomi Watts in New York for the premiere of Truman Capote biopic Infamous, in which she plays author Harper Lee. Not one to disappoint with her red-carpet choices, Sandra made a dramatic entrance in a black Galliano number with a quirky pocket detail and long train.
