LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - David Boreanaz is looking to return to series television.
The former star of the WB Network’s "Angel" is set to star in an ABC drama about an undercover cop in the world of murder for hire. The show has received a script commitment from the network. Patrick Smith Kelly ("Don’t Say a Word") is writing the script.
Boreanaz recently completed the indie films "Mr. Fix It" and "The Hard Easy." He is filming another indie, "These Girls." 17

If this is true, which remains to be seen, then here’s another example of DB’s hypocrisy where "Angel/Buffy" is concerned.
Many, many reports have attributed him as saying he didn’t want to continue "Angel" in its current form or in TV Movies, because he was looking to do a different medium altogether; i.e. big screen motion pictures. If he comes back in another television series, I hope he chokes on it. He wouldn’t say one nice thing about continuing "Angel" or even participating in another Joss Whedon project remotely related to the character that gave him any chance in Hollywood, at all, and then he’s going to do another TV show within a year?
I’m tired of the 2 main "stars" of Buffyverse acting like they were Oscar-worthy professionals long before Joss came along...they would have no audience without "Buffy/Angel" and they don’t even care about that. They show no respect in their comments.
Ever hear or read anything from Tony Head, Alexis Denisof, Alyson Hannigan, Nick Brendan, or James Marsters? There are some people who get how lucky they were. I’d watch them sell tampons to men.

Tampons for men? Wow you have issues. So what, he can do whatever he wants, thats his right. SMG and DB both have careers and if they want to do something else, they’re allowed to. We’re their fans, we don’t own them, but some of you seem to spend an awful lot of time bagging them. They gave us hours of tv shows that we will think about probably for the rest of our lives, what more do you want? They both got out of their shows while they were at their peak, shows that they are smart to leave things on a high rather then ride on it for the rest of their lives. At least this way we will remember Buffy/Angel as being great tv shows from start to finish. They’re all great actors and whatever tv show they’re on will never change that.

David played "Angel" for 8 years. After that long it is difficult to find anything challenging in something that has been through so many challenges already. It was a great show, but towards the end, it was just beginning to get a little predictable. In order to make it worth David’s time, as well as the fans’ time, something drastic would have to be done to keep things going along. I doubt WB would have been willing to approve story lines that would have changed the entire series in such a way. It would have been too risky. I think that is one reason why DB said he wouldn’t go back (although I could be wrong).
As far as him saying he didn’t want to do TV anymore, perhaps he has seen that in order to go forward in a movie career, having a series on a major network could be a big advantage. More viewers equals a potentially larger fan base. A larger fan base equals more box office draw. Someone with a potential for a larger box office draw most deffinately gets more offers from major studios for movie roles.
In just about everything in life, normal people have to take a step back once in a while in order to see where the next two steps forward lead. Why should that be any different for celebrities?

Of course they can do whatever they want, but why should I just ignore the fact that they don’t even acknowledge their great fortune to have been a part of "Buffy" and "Angel" for so long & watch them in any crap they jump into? SMG & DB almost seemed pissed when asked about it, that’s where my "issue" is.
That’s why I don’t care if he gets a new show, FOR ME, I’m not going to waste my time with it. Do what you want, it’s your time.

Wow once again someone pretending to be me. I think DB and SMG and the entire cast of Buffy and Angel did a fantastic job over the years, and if they want to move onto other projects thats fine by me, I’m not going to say how selfish they are for not continuing their respective shows. For those of you who think that its me saying that Maria is right, its not. If you hover your mouse over the nickname, when its me it has my email, when its not its whoever is pretending to post comments by me (and in case they put my email down on the next post, I won’t be making any more posts on this topic, so if you see something from ChrisMelb1985, its not me). Oh and whoever IS posting comments under my username, if you look at my nickname is says ’Melb’ which is short for Melbourne, and in Australia we use an ’s’ in apologise instead of a ’z’. Grow up, find something better to do with your time.

We’re just expressing our opinions, it doesn’t matter who is right or wrong, because they’re opinions... NOBODY is right or wrong. Geez, get a grip. It’s a "discussion" board, not a "agree with me or die" board.
And quit putting words into my mouth already... I never said DB & SMG should have stayed on Buffy/Angel forever! I take issue with their shitty attitudes about it AFTER THE FACT! SMG couldn’t even find time to participate in any of the DVD extras... did you see the Season 6 Panel Discussion? Alyson Hannigan, Nick Brendan, James Marsters, Michelle Trachtenberg, Joss... they were all there, enjoying the opportunity. SMG will not even answer questions about Buffyverse when being interviewed... DB has taken the same path... THAT is my issue, and THAT IS IT. If that doesn’t bother you, then fine, watch whatever the hell you want... quick check it out, "Wife Swapping" is on.

If this posting board is so freedom-of-speech then why is there someone taking back what I said if nobody is right and nobody is wrong? Hmmm u might want to rethink your next posting Maria. SMG worked 3-units, thats a lot of work time, and if she got a day off, she’d take it cause she was tired (try working in show business then you’ll get a taste of what it was like for her). So what if she didn’t do any DVD extras (and there is one in season 6 that features her, and an easter egg with some behind the scenes with Once More With Feeling - also featuring her), she gave us 144 episodes of Buffy. Also, I don’t recall her being ’shitty’ about anything, she’s a professional, and both her, David B, and all of the cast and crew conduct themselves in that way. I haven’t heard any of them say "I HATE DOING F***ING DVD EXTRAS", and when I do, I guess I’ll admit you’re right Maria, but until then, you’ll just have to sit and wait....and for someone who posts as often as you do, I guess that won’t be a problem will it? ;)
p.s. I know I said I wouldn’t post again, but when someone irritates me (especially the shithead who can post under my nick but can’t actually say anything directly to me), I just can’t help myself ;)

Re: posting a lot of bullshit.....well it looks like someone takes the time to READ it, whats worse? Besides, bullshit is everywhere on the web, get used to it. If ppl are going to take the time out of their lives to bag my favourite actors, I’ll take the time to put them in their place. Oh and in case the losers who replied to that swearword-rich post of mine, in case you didn’t read it properly, don’t care what you think, you’re all just a bunch of text anyway, and so I am to you, so what does it matter?
