D.B. Woodside

D.B. Woodside has signed up for a role in The CW’s new series Hellcats.

The drama focuses on a student who is forced to join her university’s cheerleading squad to get a scholarship when she discovers that she cannot afford her tuition fees.

Zap2It reports that Woodside, who previously played Wayne Palmer in 24, has now joined the cast.

His character Derrick Altman is said to be "a handsome young physician who takes care of the Hellcats cheerleaders". His girlfriend Vanessa, played by Sharon Leal, is the group’s coach.

Hellcats will premiere on September 8 on The CW.
