Alan Cumming Is Haunted By An "Angel"

BoreanazAlan Cumming is starring in and directing "Suffering Man’s Charity," a dark comedy with "Angel" star David Boreanaz cast as a struggling writer who is killed and returns to haunt his murderer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

It is Cumming, of course, who accidentally kills Boreanaz and takes credit for the writer’s novel. When the book becomes a success, the angry writer returns from the grave to haunt him. (Yay! More dark undead brooding from Boreanaz! He perfected it in "Angel.")

Cumming describes his role as "the craziest person I’ve ever played," and says about the film, "To call it a dark comedy is an understatement." With that coming from this eclectic actor - you may remember some of his characters from "X2" "Son of the Mask" and the "Spy Kids" films - audiences should expect something "unusual" to say the least.

DJ Paul, Donald Zuckerman and Craig Snider are producing this low-budget independent film, which is being shot in HD. The script was written by Thomas Gallagher.

Boreanaz is currently staring in Fox’s hit show "Bones."

"Suffering Man’s Charity" also stars Anne Heche, Henry Thomas, Carrie Fisher, Karen Black and Jane Lynch.

No word yet on its release date.
