Dr. Temperance Brennan is a skilled forensic anthropologist who pens novels on the side. Law enforcement calls on her to assist with murder investigations when a victim’s remains are so badly decomposed or destroyed that the standard methods of identification are useless. Brennan’s expertise lies in her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim’s bones.

Bones stars Emily Deschanel and Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum David Boreanaz. The series is based on books by real-life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs whose Brennan character is inspired by her own life. Check out the premiere airing on FOX Tuesday Sept. 13 at 8/7c.
