BBC Three’s new series, Blood, Sweat And Takeaways, was seen by 858k (4.3%) at 9pm, making it the second most-watched programme on the multichannel stations after EastEnders.

Elsewhere, the second visit to the Chelsea Flower Show took 3.1m (14.2%) at 8pm, matching yesterday’s effort for BBC Two.

ITV1’s A Place In The Wild interested 2.11m (9.8%), while Gok’s Fashion Fix managed 2.05m (9.6%) for Channel 4.

The second episode of Five’s Helicopter Warfare grabbed 791k (3.7%), while Holby City led the hour with 5.61m (26.2%) for BBC One.

BBC One stayed on top during the 9pm hour, drawing 4.26m (19.9%) with New Tricks, which stars Dennis Waterman and Amanda Redman.

Over on BBC Two, 1.07m (4.9%) tuned in for the second part of The Trouble With Working Women, and ITV1’s Holiday Showdown attracted 2.63m (12%).

Channel 4’s historical drama 1066: The Battle For Middle Earth concluded with 1.3m (6.3%), while Five’s screening of CSI had 2.86m (13%).
