Funnily enough I just spoke to director Stan Winston about a sequel to “Wrong Turn” a couple of weeks ago - and he said it’s not a consideration at the moment. “At the moment, there is no sequel”, claimed Winston.

Does that mean Winston isn’t involved in one, because it’s apparently happening...

Today’s edition of Video Business says FOX have apparently greenlit a sequel to the cannibal scarefest, saying lofty DVD sales for the first film led the way for a follow-up.

In “Wrong Turn”, Eliza Dushku played one of several youngsters who steer from the main road, ultimately coming face to face with "cannibalistic mountain men grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding."

“Wrong Turn 2” will be on shelves sometime this year.

No word yet on Eliza Dushku, reprising her role.

    LoL yeah I know WE WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH lol... I think it would be so ultimatley cool if this was true and they got Eliza Dushku **Again lol**, Holly-Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty, Kayley Cuoco, Cate Blanchett, Desmond Harrington **Again**, Julian McMahon, Jason Priestly, Matt Le Blanc and Shaun Reeves to star in it as the main roles lol. - (All my fave actors and actresses) ** I mean obviously not all of them unless they all had good roles ** But Eliza and Holly-Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty, Desmond Harrington and Matt Le Blanc... MUST BE INCLUDED lol Omg Look at me babbling on lol I’ll be quiet now but ELIZA ROCKS!!!

    Dear Eliza , if you read these comments , you should talk to desmond harrington and the writer allen mchenry to write a sequel . This would really work on the big screen . Wrong Turn was so powerful and it left you with a new beginning with Chris and Jessie ! WORKING TITLES " TURN BACK " , "ANOTHER WRONG TURN " AND ALSO " WRONG TURN AGAIN ". CHRIS AND JESSIE MAKE IT OUT OF THE WOODS AND REPORT THEIR FINDINGS TO DOUBTFUL AUTHORITIES . AFTER YEARS HAVE PASSED CHRIS AND JESSIE HAVE CONTINUED THEIR FRIENDSHIP/ROMANCE POSSIBILITY TO THEIR SURPRIZE THROUGH A TV BULLETIN , PEOPLE ARE STILL BEING FOUND DEAD OR DISAPPEARING .
