Eliza Dushku’s appearance at Fenway Park for the Jimmy Fund radio telethon has a lot of meaning for her. "My aunt Patricia died of cancer on Aug. 17, 1990," said the Watertown-bred actress.

"I couldn’t believe it when I opened the e-mail and saw what date they wanted me to come."

As part of the annual fund-raiser for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Dushku will be joined at Fenway by actors Jim Belushi and Tim Daly, whose wife, Amy, hails from Providence. Dushku, who’s dating Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny, says we don’t have to question her loyalty.

"If it ever comes down to it, I’ll wear a Dodgers jersey with my Red Sox cap," she told us yesterday. "My father and brothers would kill me for being a traitor."
