Sfgate.com Firefly"Firefly" Tv Series on Big Screen at Parkway Speakeasy, OaklandReyhan Harmanci Sunday 31 December 2006, by Webmaster Firefly Episodes Joss Whedon, creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," followed up his Buffy empire with a sci-fi western show on Fox that developed a cult following (of course) but failed to get the audience numbers. Now, thanks to the Parkway folks, you can enjoy the world of "Firefly" on a big screen (on couches, with pizza and beer). The first three episodes will be shown, with additional screenings to follow until the entire series run is shown. (Sadly, it lasted only 14 episodes, so it won’t take all that long.) 9:15 p.m., today. $5. Parkway Speakeasy, 1834 Park Blvd., Oakland. (510) 814-2400. www.parkway-speakeasy.com. |
