Buffy The Vampire Slayer

The editors of Slayage invite you to submit names of authors in nomination for the first annual award for Buffy Studies scholarship. (The editors, David Lavery and Rhonda V. Wilcox, wish to be excluded from consideration for this first award.) Send in the author’s name and details about the publication to lavery@slayage.tv and wilcox@slayage.tv. The decision will be made by the members of the Slayage Conference Board and the Editorial Board of Slayage. These members will recuse themselves from votes as appropriate (e.g., a member cannot vote for anything of his/her own).

The editors anticipate that an award for the best of the first five years of Buffy scholarship will be given in 2005 for work published 1999—2004. For the first annual award, however, the work nominated should have been published in 2003. The work may have appeared in a book, traditional journal, electronic journal, or on a website—however, it should be accessible to the members of the boards. No one person should make more than three nominations. The nomination deadline is the end of Buffy’s birthday month, 2004. (If you have to ask when that is, don’t bother nominating.)
