Chicagotribune.com Full house of stars lines up for Saget’s penguin mockumentary (seth green mention)Cheryl Bowles Tuesday 28 March 2006, by Webmaster An all-star cast, including the likes of Samuel L. Jackson and Harvey Fierstein, has signed on to voice the story of a penguin searching for love while on a 70-mile trek with his buddies. Sound a little familiar? It should—the film is a Bob Saget-penned mockumentary spoof of the Oscar-winning documentary "March of the Penguins." "Farce of the Penguins" will also be directed by Saget, and he will voice the lovelorn lead penguin role as well, Variety reports. Jackson is slated to narrate the film; other star cameos include Whoopi Goldberg, James Belushi, Alyson Hannigan and Saget’s "Full House" castmates John Stamos and Dave Coulier. Saget said he got the idea for the film while watching "March of the Penguins" at a friend’s house, Reuters reports. "I couldn’t stop doing the voice-overs of the penguins," he said. Judging from Saget’s jaw-dropping turn in "The Aristocrats," his penguin pals could be in for a racy ride. |
