Comedian has two small-screen projects lined up.

Comedian Janeane Garofalo is set to star in a CBS drama pilot about Los Angeles public defenders. Garofolo will play the leader of a group of lawyers in the untitled series.

Garofalo will also appear in the upcoming second season of IFC’s The Henry Rollins Show. The left-leaning political comic will film four op-ed segments in her New York City apartment.

Garafalo appeared on NBC’s The West Wing in 2005 and was a cast member of the network’s Saturday Night Live in the 1994-1995 season. In 2003, she played a TV newscaster in the passed-on pilot Slice O’Life with future Office star Rainn Wilson.

She will next be seen in the feature film Southland Tales and be heard in the Pixar animated movie Ratatouille.
