Nwsource.com Go 2 Guy: One hot topic: Tony, Eva (sarah michelle gellar mention)Jim Moore Monday 27 March 2006, by Webmaster Tony Parker was in town Sunday night, and I could have asked him basketball questions, but c’mon, Eva Longoria is his girlfriend. I heard that Parker wouldn’t want to answer questions about his relationship with the "Desperate Housewives" star, but I asked anyway, and he was accommodating enough. If you Google his name with her name, you come up with all sorts of stuff that has nothing to do with sports and everything to do with how hot she is and what he’s like in the bedroom. The latest: In an Allure magazine article last week, Longoria said she was the more experienced one, noting: "Tony’s only been with one other person in his life ... I’m the teacher, especially about love." But when international magazines incorrectly concluded that Parker was a lousy lover, she told "Extra" and "Access Hollywood" that "when the lights are out, he’s the teacher and I’m the student." And the Go 2 Guy is envious. Parker is simply amused, saying: "It makes me laugh when I read some of the stuff. I can’t believe they call themselves journalists." "She wanted to say something nice about love and relationships, but my fellow Frenchies wanted to talk about sex ... I can’t control it." Longoria seems to be everywhere all the time, even Seattle this weekend. She flew here late Friday on the team plane after the Spurs game in Portland but flew to L.A. before Sunday night’s battle with the Sonics. advertising Parker, 23, and Longoria, 31, met after a Spurs game last year when she and her dad were invited into the locker room. She called it "lust at first sight," but also told Allure that Parker is "very sweet. He’s always telling me he’s never met anyone who loves the way I do — wholly, freely and unconditionally." Which is all very interesting, but I prefer to think of her as her "Desperate Housewives" character, Gabrielle Solis, who had an affair with the gardener and made out with another wife’s husband on Wisteria Lane. Sunday night, Parker said: "She’s great, I’m very, very happy." Longoria, a Corpus Christi native, told Allure: "Since I grew up in Texas, I’m like the people he’s gotten used to around San Antonio instead of being a Hollywood actress who’s selfish and arrogant and full of herself and screamy." But steamy, yes. This is a widely held opinion — Longoria was voted Sexiest TV Star of All-Time in a survey by Sainsbury’s, a British supermarket, beating out Jennifer Aniston, Kim Cattrall, Pamela Anderson and Sarah Michelle Gellar. She was also chosen as Maxim’s No. 1 Hottest Woman in the World. Yet in the Sonics’ locker room this was a debatable topic. "She’s all right, she’s a pretty girl," Ray Allen said. "But when you’re talking smokin’ hot, you could go in a lot of different directions." Allen detoured toward Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, Melyssa Ford and Vida Guerra. "Now we’re talkin’," he said. Sonics coach Bob Hill had his opinion, too, saying "Desperate Housewives" is "a good show, but I don’t think any of those women are drop-dead gorgeous ... Teri Hatcher has got a perfect face, and the big blonde (Nicollette Sheridan) has got a great body. If you combined Teri Hatcher and the blonde, you’d have a 10." But what about Longoria? "She’s a good-lookin’ girl and everything, but she’s too little, she’s not my type at all," Hill said. So Longoria’s what, a 9? "An 8," Hill said. An 8? Not his type? What? I tried to impersonate a Hollywood reporter as best I could, asking if they had wedding plans (no) and what he got her for her birthday on March 15 (none of my business). Later Sunday, Parker the point guard had 17 points and 12 assists, but it wasn’t enough for the Spurs. Longoria the actress was on millions of TVs with her husband Carlos trying to find a baby to adopt. She will be a secret-service agent in "The Sentinel," co-starring with Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Basinger. The movie premieres next month, which can only mean publicity tours and heightened media attention, if that’s possible. "I get used to it," Parker said. "Most of the time it’s OK." |
