Hannigan Pacts with NBC
Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-star Alyson Hannigan, who recently signed on for a guest starring stint on Fox’s That ’70s Show, has now signed a talent holding deal with NBC. The Peacock will develop a sitcom for the actress to topline targeted for the 2004 season.

Hannigan, also known for her role as band geek Michelle in the American Pie movies, is now reading scripts and meeting with writers to develop the concept for the new series. As part of the deal, if a project does not come together by the beginning of next Spring’s pilot casting season, Hannigan is free to move to a non-NBC project.

Hannigan may still be best known for her role as Willow, Buffy’s best friend, on the cult series Buffy. The actress, repped by Innovative, was most recently seen on the big screen in the third installment of the American Pie movies, American Wedding. In addition, she has been seen in the features Boys and Girls, Dead Man on Campus and My Stepmother Is an Alien.
