Hannigan Signs for NBC Series

American Pie star Alyson Hannigan takes lead in comedy project for the Peacock.

Alyson Hannigan has signed on to star in NBC’s untitled Matt Tarses/Bill Wrubel comedy pilot, which revolves around the relationship between a brother and his sister who haven’t spoken in 18 months.

Produced by NBC Studios and the production shingle of Karey Burke and Jamie Tarses, the series will be executive produced by Wrubel, Burke and Jamie Tarses and Matt Tarses, who are siblings.

Hannigan is represented by Innovative Artists and manager Steve Lovett. The star of the American Pie trilogy will next can be seen as Sally in the London stage version of Rob Reiner’s 1989 film When Harry Met Sally.
