PETER O’Brien is the latest Australian actor to be grabbed by Hollywood.

O’Brien was released from a guest role in Channel 10’s coming telemovie Small Claims, starring Rebecca Gibney and Claudia Karvan, so he could fly to Los Angeles to audition for a film role. O’Brien now has a three-movie deal.

The first film will see him appear alongside former Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

O’Brien is married to fellow actor Miranda Otto. They are expecting their first child in April.
