Wendy at SupportSpike has slapped up an interesting Q & A with James Marsters, who appeared at Collectormania and waxed lyrical about the much-talked about "Spike" telemovie.

The good news? The former "Buffy" and "Angel" star had a chat to Joss Whedon about such a project, just two weeks ago.

Q : Is there going to be a Spike movie?

JM : Hopefully. I talked to Joss two weeks ago and he asked me if I was still up for it. I would love to do it but we’re on a clock. I’m a middle-aged man and in 5 years I will be (thinks) I will be 48. Vampires can’t age so it must be done soon. Spike needs to have something to aim for, to win the girl, lose the girl, something like that.

For those not-in-the-know, Whedon’s keen on doing a telemovie that centres on the character of Spike, from both "Buffy" and "Angel". The WB network has yet to give the thumbs up to it. Watch this creamy white space.

I can`t believe that the WB hasn`t gotten off there a** and figured it out there show`s suck they don`t have anything of interest to have people watch there show`s anymore PUT SPIKE back on at least a telemovie i would be glued to the set and maybe go to see something else they put out since i have not seen anything done by the WB since they canceled ANGEL. NO SPIKE NO WB.figure it out people James is the best thing since slice bread :)

48 holy cow! he looks damn amazing for 43. i would have guessed he was about early 30’s. lol, if they do do a Spike TV movie, they’ll have to give James some prior notice so he can grow his hair back. hmmm, i love the shaved crew cut look, so sexy, but the blond always did it for me.

Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk that’s all they ever do. I want to se some action taken towards seeing a Spike movie.

It needs to have a Spuffy ending, wether it’s Spike finaly going to see Buffy or it ends with the phrase "and they lived happily ever after."

YAY!!! Gotta agree with growing his hair back and going blond, its just not Spike otherwise.

did reality tv ever have fire... i mean when your sat there watching someone sat reading the paper u know its time to move on. Sci Fi at least gets you thinking, something that clearly doesnt happen alot in reality tv.

As for the age thing, if Tom Cruise (42?) can date Katie Holmes (26) then age is merely a number!

About the rapist comment: I agree, I mean it’s bad enough they gave Angel, the rapist and murderer, five years of his own show, but now to give Spike a tv movie? It’s sick, the series finales should have had both vampires die and Buffy should now live out her days with Riley or Xander.

Finally some real talk about this. They’ve been throwing that idea around for quite some time now.

I personally hope they also find a place for Harmony. I just love that character. Mercedes McNab made her so much fun to watch. Despite what some fans think, I believe she was a real asset to Angel’s final season, and I’m sure she would fit very well in a Spike movie, being his ex-girlfriend.

And she’s a gorgoeus girl for us guys to enjoy. :-)

Well, I’m happy about this, even though Spike is not my favourite character and would prefer something on Willow or Illyria, I would be happy for anything jossverse. Personally, I don’t think the ’rapist’ angle matters, because please, it’s TV and it made it so much more interesting! Also, I would like to see Harmony re-appear in future Jossverse projects, because unlike some of you, I think she is a very attractive person, and more importantly, is one of the most hilariously funny people on TV.

oooh the loverly spike so much more darker than angel and so much more twisted. it would be great for spike to have his own movie he,s also a much more sexier and more complex character than angel, and because alot of his past wasnt told in angel and buffy. he has much more range to be creative with in his character. would love him not to become soft and soppy like angel did.
