The trailer for the upcoming Gerard Butler/Hilary Swank drama "PS, I Love You" has been released. The story revolves around Holly (Swank), whose late husband (Butler) has left her a series of 10 messages upon his death. Revealed on a monthly basis, each one contains a task that is to help her ease her way out of grief and transition her into a new life.

In the trailer, after her husband’s passing, Swank’s character receives an audio message from him, stating that she will begin receiving a series of letters. His instructions take her and her friends (Lisa Kudrow, Gina Gershon) to Ireland, fishing, bars, and karaoke. While Butler was in great shape in "300," it seems that Swank hit the gym for this role, showing off her flat stomach.

"PS, I Love You" is based on a best-selling novel by Cecelia Ahern and also stars Kathy Bates and Harry Connick Jr. It is currently scheduled to hit theaters on December 21st.
