Uncannily Spoiled: Astonishing X-Men

The Bendis Board discovers the dangers of crossbook continuity:

Next week’s Uncanny X-Men has a huge spoiler in it. I read the advanced copy at my store and holy [expletive deleted for the sensitive ones]. I would avoid it if you don’t want the end of Whedon and Cassaday’s arc ruined.

That spoiler, and discussion of what’s going on, under the jump.After many other BenBo posters ask to be spoiled (My favorite line: “Joss is usually so concerned with spoilers, but this time he has no one but himself to blame” - Cassaday doesn’t bear any responsibility?), poster THWIP reveals all: Kitty Pryde is dead. Potentially.

“How does the book mention it?????? Are there previews or do they flat out tell you???”

“Does it actually say she dies, or that she isn’t there?”

“Colossus is depressed about Kitty dying.”

“technically it says he ‘lost’ her”

“Is she dead or did she stay in space? Which is it?”

So, part of the conclusion of Astonishing X-Men is revealed, but it’s the part that we’d all guessed already. Does that even really count as a spoiler these days?
