Joss Whedon : "Wonder Woman Will Be Like Buffy"

Writer and director of the new Wonder Woman film, Joss Whedon has insisted that his version will be similar to his other bad ass female character; Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Whedon has revealed that the two characters have a lot in common, according to Contactmusic he said: "It’s about girls maturing, a rite of passage, that kind of thing."

The director is currently finishing up his script for the new film adaptation of the hit 1970’s TV series.

Fans of the show can expect all the favourite gadgets and gimmicks, he said: "There will be all of the expected stuff. Of course there will be the bracelets; there will be the invisible jet, the lasso, all of that. It’s coming along."
