Destroyed characters? Really? That’s funny, I’m pretty sure I saw every character develop equally well and shine through in the end.

LMAO @ the first post. I loved BTVS but god if that is not the truth in a way. They wrote Buffy getting *almost* raped just so Spike would go get his soul and THEN she was written to *forgive* him. Fine for TV though. In real life stupid women like that usually end up raped or dead and the subject of a Lifetime Television made for tv movie.

Destroy?? Uh... didn’t Spike save the day in the Buffy finale??
I thought Spike, like all the BTVS characters, changed & developed. Perhaps the first poster didn’t watch the entire series. Spike was one of the most interesting (Ok—and he’s hot!) characters on BTVS.

The first poster obviously has a serious case of Spike envy. People who post just to bitch aren’t ever going to get over it, unless they finally get a life. In the meantime, we fans of quality TV can rejoice that one of the best actors ever on TV may get the chance to have one more go at one of the most interesting characters ever on a TV series. Go James! (OK, & yeah he is HOT :=)- but that’s beside the pointy stake.

Yeah Spike is kinda dumb. I didn’t really like him at all, second half of season 5 on. And the fact that he might get a movie when others deserve it much more (I.E. Illyria, Willow, Xander) Kinda annoys me. If Willow and Illyria showed up in the movie, and it wasn’t called a "Spike Movie" I might be able to support it, but, we’ll see.

Ah. It’s great how this fandom still insists on fighting. Can’t we all just get along? In response to the commenter who started off with "LMAO", first off, yeah, Buffy was written to do those things. Just as Spike and all the other characters were written to behave the way they did. It’s a tv show, you see, and so everything that happens was written. Secondly, how dare you insinuate that it is the woman’s fault if they are raped. That has nothing to do with how ’stupid’ the woman is. Jeez.

Oh yeah Spike was the worse thing that ever came on tv *snort* yeah right!! Those who say that would find themselves in a small group... since everyone who has half of sense would know what Spike meant to both Shows.
SARAH Michelle Gellar was even quoted as saying, "He’s a
character the show can’t survive without." Said during
the Buffy Bites breaks that they show during the commercial
breaks of Buffy on FX.
LOL @ Spike bashers. Get a life!

Saved the day by doing NOTHING except wear the deus ex machine necklace. The finale of the greatest show ever, saved by a last-minute deus ex machine courtesy of Wolfram and Hart. The plot holes are so big in "Chosen," you could drive the Titanic through it.
Back on topic: Any BuffyVerse is simply awesome. Yeah Spike’s character was neutured and he became a shell of his former glory, but i’ll take it. Beggars can’t be choosers. Hope this works. Go Joss.

I’ll believe this when I see the actual advertisement for the movie. How many times have we gotten our hopes up and then to find out it was just a rumor? Sigh.

...and that’s why it’s TV and not real life.
Even though I don’t think that a Spike movie will ever happen, it’s wonderful to think about. And if it DOES happen, I’ll be first in the ticket line. ahh... *thinks about Spike on the big screen*

To the first poster:
Whats up your bum? You should be happy that they are even thinking about BRINGING the storyline back to life. Even if it’s with a character you personally do not enjoy. As for the other billion BTVS/ATS fans, we adore Spike, and would love to see his character back on TV. If they make a movie most likely lots of the other BTVS/ATS cast members will probably be in it. So stop ruining it for everyone! We want to see this movie with James Marsters. Plus I don’t see how Spike’s character ruined the shows, if it was not for James playing as Spike, the shows would have lost ALOT of viewers (mostly female). So I tend to think he spiced it up. Tahtah.

Spike added 2 seasons to Buffy and an extra season to Angel, single handedly, nuff said. Oh except, thanks Spike.

Spike developed into the most important character in Buffy and as for Angel - it was hardly worth watching until season 5! Thank you James Marsters!!

Isn’t this old news James gave Wanda?Didn’t we already know Joss called James and Amy from con reports in April and June?I don’t think anything Buffyverse related is going to happen onscreen anytime soon.In a MTV interview,James’s manager says a Spike movie is,"nothing we have on our radar at this moment."It dose not seem to be on Joss’s radar either other then some loose talk. With Serenity about to come out and the big promotional push that Joss will be involved in then him begining work on writing and then directing Wonder Woman, the Buffyverse dose not seem to be on Joss’s frontburner.

Joss doesn’t have much of a choice. Everyone else is busy or isn’t interested in being connected to Buffy anymore. I think Spike was a great character and I’d be happy to see the TV-movie. Although if it has any other characters from the series (BtVS or Angel) then I think it shouldn’t be considered a "Spike" TV-movie. Just a Buffy-follow-up tv-movie.

Cannot wait for a Spike movie. His character became the most interesting one in Buffyverse. His character is one of the most awesome ever presented on TV. YEAH!

will the movie tell you what happens in the end of the final battel? will it tell you what happened between buffy and angel after buffy was back from the dead? will it tell us why spike is no longer a gohst?
