Blog.myspace.com Joss WhedonJoss Whedon’s meetup with SFX Magazine at LondonNick Saturday 2 December 2006, by Webmaster Night of the roundtable on September 30, 2006 Last night was interesting. Received what was almost a royal summons from Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly. He was in London for a couple of nights and wanted to convene an impromptu drink-up/roundtable session with SFX, Bryan Hitch, Warren Ellis and his friend, the stand-up Natalie Haynes. It was good fun, and topics ranged from ’James Bond - Do We Give A Shit?’ (naturally, I bloody did) to the beatnik influence on early Marvel, though I’m not sure how much of our in-depth dissection of Quincy and Diagnosis Murder will make it into the magazine. And, as ever, the true juice only came when the tape machine was switched off. Still, a jolly old evening, and the posh chocolate orange ice cream from the hotel hospitality suite was damning proof that rich people have it made. |
