Last, but certainly not least, is the plucky crew of vampire slayers at Sunnydale. Buffy may be primarily a TV show, but the Season 8 comic is enough to qualify it for consideration. If you don’t like it, you must be a Buffy hater. The show certainly has a cast worthy of Lego interpretation. As with any good Lego game, each character has their own unique talent to bring to the fold. Buffy is agile and stabs things with her stake. Willow has her witchy powers. Xander can do... whatever it is he does when he’s not possessed by a hyena spirit. We don’t expect one game could follow the show in its entirety, but that’s why nature invented sequels. Perhaps Buffy’s most signature element is its humor, and we’d love to see how that humor translates to a silent Lego game. Can Lego figures accurately pantomime Joss Whedon’s trademark wit? The surest way to find out is to bring in Whedon himself. We’d rather see him devote his time to a project like Lego Buffy than the ill-conceived Buffy and Firefly MMORPGs. |
