Bostonherald.com Liza LapiraLiza Lapira - "Traffic Light" Tv Series - She is glad to be caughtSunday 20 February 2011, by Webmaster “Traffic Light’’ star Liza Lapira likes the get-up-and-go of Boston that she enjoyed while filming “21” here in 2007. “It’s great to be back,” said the Queens-born star of the new Fox TV comedy during a sit-down yesterday at the fab Four Seasons. “The first thing I did after leaving Logan was take a run around the Charles. I love it here because you can just get on the train and go.” And that’s just how she got started in the acting world. “I fell into it. I would just get on the train and go into Manhattan for auditions,” she said. After landing a role as a backup dancer on a Nickelodeon kids show, Liza was well on her way. Since then, she’s appeared as a series regular on “NCIS” and cult fave “Dollhouse,” co-starring Watertown homegal Eliza Dushku. “Eliza is very proud of her Boston roots!” laughed Lapira, who hung out the other night with local scribe Ben Mezrich — who wrote “Bringing Down the House,” the book that inspired “21” — and his wife, Tonya. |
