Marc Blucas (riley) - Scooby Doo 3 Casting Rumours

Paul Walker - the blond surfer-mold hunk may not be returning for a third "Fast and the Furious" round, but that’s probably because he’s busy with another potential franchise. LatinoReview reports that the man whom the tabloids basically label ’well equipped to handle all the corners’ (and remains to this day one of the most enjoyable interviewees I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with) is being rumoured for the role of the superhero industry’s ultimate flamer - Johnny Storm.

Walker’s rumoured connection to the role has been around for a few months, but this rumour comes from the same source who revealed the Chiklis & Robbins casting rumours (which a day later panned out in the trades). Cinescape today as well indicated that Christina Millian is in consideration for Susan Storm whilse Superhero Hype says Ralf Moeller has a role as well.

LR also reports today that former "Buffy" on-screen lover Marc Blucas ("First Daughter", "Summer Catch") may be filling in the shoes of the Buffster’s off-screen romantic interest. Blucas is apparently in talks with Warners about taking over the character of Fred from Freddie Prinze Jr. in the third "Scooby" and met with the studio last week about it. Blucas previously played the role in a short spoof moment in "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back".

It has been widely known industry knowledge for a while that both Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar would not be returning for the third film - though the news of replacements being sought so quickly does come as a surprise. Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini are both locked to reprise Shaggy and Velma respectively in a third Scoobs.

Thanks to ’Kate’.

  • all this talk about scooby doo movie’s. I mean, personally i dont see the point of making so many of them. if the first one did good, thats great, i’m not sure how the second is doing but isnt it all just dragging this out. I never really thought all these scooby movies were doing good for SMG, maybe she’s trying to get to younger viewers or something?
