Mercedes McNab to be featured in Playboy’s November 2006 issue

Just received the digital edition of the October issue of the bunny mag and to my surprise. Mercedes McNab, (Harmony from Buffy and Angel) who also have a topless scene in the upcoming horror movie Hatchet will be featured in a pictorial for the November issue of Playboy.

There is also a preview picture on the October issue but we don’t see anything in the picture. This time around, it’s not an April Fools.

    This is surprising, because I saw Mercedes at a convention in Baltimore several years ago and she was discussing why there isn’t a Harmony action figure, and explained that it was because they have to do a full-body scan of a person and she’s just not comfortable knowing that that sort of information would be out there about her on somebody’s harddrive, afraid of someone being able then to create ultra-detailed nudie photos of her and post them on the Internet without her knowledge, etc. Anyhow, she just sounded at the time like she was ultra-protective of her body; what a surprise that now it seems she’s the one putting her assets all on display. Not that I have a problem with it — she does have a hellacious body.

That kinda goes with the territory (of being an actress). If someone want to create a fake all they need is a good head shot; there are tons of nude bodies out there to use. I’m sure her image has been faked and posted in some Fakir’s forums, but off hand I can’t remember seeing one. Of course after the magazine comes out, she can worry about the real thing on people’s harddrives. LOL

    But she appeared several times in various magazines were she was waring nothing but her underware already. I guess she finally figured that since Charisma appeared in Playboy, why shouldn’t she.

    Also this makes the 2nd actress from BtVS/Angel to appear in Playboy.

    So who will be next?

    K-Dude, if you count Kristy Swanson (you remember her, the original Buffy Summers from the movie), Mercedes is the third Buffy/Angelverse actress to shed her clothes for Playboy — first Kristy, then Charisma, now Mercedes. Julie Benz also went nude in an early film, Darkdrive. And nearly every female from the show(s) have gone nearly nude in the Playboy-wannabes (Maxim, FHM, etc.).

    Well, if we’re going to mention Julie’s early nude scene in a movie, we have to mention Michelle’s rear nude scene in the upcoming Beautiful Ohio.

    Anyway, I don’t usually buy Playboy, but I’m going to make an exception, here. :)
