Two things we have learned from television and film: Not only can you solve crimes by using mathematics, but mathe let’s you become an Olympic-level skater. At least that is what "Ice Princess," starring Michelle "The Key" Trachtenberg from "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," wants us to believe. Brainy (read: nerd) Casey (Trachtenberg) finds a passion for ice-skating and in order to become good she uses her smarts to become a championship skater and teach her coach, mom and those mean high school kids a lesson (waving finger intently). For the sake of "Better Off Dead" and "Grosse Pointe Blank," I am gonna let it slide that John Cusack actually appears in "Ice Princess." Really? John, you couldn’t find a better gig? Sheesh.

Extras: The special features include a very interesting "original opening" to the film, some deleted scenes, an actor audio commentary from Trachtenberg, Trevor Blumas, Hayden Panettiere and Kirsten Olsen and two music videos from Caleigh Peters and Aly & A.J. Price: $29.99
